Welcome to Sandlot Baseball and Softball Academy Your Foundation for Success!
The Sandlot is a state of the art facility in terms of equipment, training aides, and programming and was created to not only provide fundamental instruction to developing players but also offer cutting edge training techniques that are currently being used and developed by the leading instructors, players, and coaches in the world today. The result, plain and simple, is a superior athlete at any age. Superior performance however does require quality practice and training….daily in most instances if one wishes to become truly exceptional and avoid injury!
The basic membership allows players to do just that, utilize the facility during "Independent hours" on a daily basis to improve their skills and essentially get quality reps between games and/or instruction. This lets a player experiment and refines technique through "guided discovery", in which they learn through instructor guidance as well as trial and error. With every repetition, valuable objective feedback is obtained through high tech training tools, such as our Zelocity radar stations and the BlackSound pitching Board.
Obviously, this type of facility does not come without a cost. Even though I would love to be able to give it away, the wolves would soon be at my door. : That is why our rates are at a level that is not only affordable (Check around…I did!) but provide a value that is unparalleled…essentially more bang for the buck! I simply do not want price to be a reason your child cannot train or practice like a pro.

The Sandlot Baseball and Softball Academies training approach is based on the five physical tools that major league baseball scouts look at when evaluating players. Those five physical tools are:
Running: speed and base running abilities
Fielding: softness of hands, exchange from glove to throwing hand
Throwing: arm strength and accuracy
Hitting for average: situational hitting
Power Hitting: abilities to drive the ball
The sixth and maybe the most important area a scout evaluates are referred to in the industry as "makeup".
This in essence is the character of the player, the overall players attitude, dedication, level of respect and self confidence.
Many times the sixth tool, the players mental aspect, determines if the player makes the team, earns the scholarship, or is offered the professional contract.
This sixth element is the core of Sandlot Baseball and Softball Academies training and how we differentiate ourselves from the competition.
